Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Waiting for the light

today I sit here
waiting for the light

someone
in their vast wisdom
has decreed
ah
yes
they have decreed that time can change
THEY have decided
that I need
an extra hour of evening light!

what about us morning people?
did no one think about us?

and so
in the morning
I sit
waiting for the light

But of course darkness can aid
reflection
after all
what else is there to do in the dark

but to think
to ruminate

and I have decided it is a chronic condition
this sitting in the dark

there are so many ways to do it
fear
hate
worry worry worry (my personal favorite)
we suck the light out of our
worlds in so many ways
 we create our own personal
shadow lands
(Matthew 4:16)

thank God
for the rising of the Son
 thank God
for the "candle in my heart"
that flares to life
and there
shines
a light
in
the darkness

There is a candle in your heart,
ready to be kindled.
There is a void in your soul,
ready to be filled.
You feel it, don't you?
You feel the separation
from the Beloved.
Invite Him to fill you up,
embrace the fire.
Remind those who tell you otherwise that
Love
comes to you of its own accord,
and the yearning for it
cannot be learned in any school
