Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

The Divine Original

self esteem
how we see ourselves
how we are defined

we have a choice it seems
as to who defines us

Mostly I allow myself to be defined
by those around me
I listen to the voices
oh do I listen to the voices

you are smart
you are an idiot
you are talented
you are really not very good at what you do
you are kind
you are negligent
you are handsome, or not
you are a good person
you are not

so bit by bit
opinion by opinion
voice by voice
we are domesticated
 modified

and we try to pretend to be what we are not

and we are not happy
it doesn't work
to dance someone else's dance

we try to please everyone
but we cannot please ourselves

no wonder Jesus suggested we be more
like children
who are freer and wilder
who spin and dance with abandon
who skip and hope
laugh and
giggle
whose attention in is the moment

who are comfortable
in their own skin
