Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

This is what love is

Though words can can carry love, they often point to it.
It is the picking up of something that has been dropped
 and the giving of space for someone to discover for themselves
what it means to be human, and the
forgiving of mistakes when they realize that they are.
Mark Nepo, "Book of Awakening"

we treasure the words of love
we speak them
and we hear them

and words are important!

You, O God
call your creative redemptive power
Word

and yet it is not in the speaking
but in the living that
love is shown

Help me this day
this week
O Lord
to do the little acts of love

to stop
to focus
to listen
to speak gently
to let go of a hurt, and forgive it
to lift up one who has stumbled

maybe my act of love
will be nothing more than a smile and a nod
maybe it will be an act far more profound

but Lord
let my life
be my
Word
