Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

If we say we are followers

“Compassion asks us to go where it hurts, to enter into the places of pain, to share in brokenness, fear, confusion, and anguish. Compassion challenges us to cry out with those in misery, to mourn with those who are lonely, to weep with those in tears. Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable, and powerless with the powerless. Compassion means full immersion in the condition of being human.”
― Henri J.M. Nouwen

If say we are followers of Jesus, WHAT we do is important
Aiding the rich and neglecting the poor... is not OK

If we say we are followers of Jesus, what we do it is important. Lying, misrepresenting, oppressing, coercing in Jesus name....is not OK

If we say we are followers of Jesus, WHO we accept is important. Excluding people because of our biases, prejudices, or ideology... is not OK

Jesus healed the sick, forgave the wounded, set free the oppressed

Jesus went the way of the cross, and did not return evil for evil

Jesus accepted and included everyone!

Being a follower of Jesus
Is not about believing the right things
It is not about maintaining a cultural status-quo

It is about have the Spirit awake inside us
And living and loving the way Jesus lived and loved
