Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

This day matters

rays of gold
streak through
graceful sentinels
full firs standing tall
soaring
ponderosa
bark shining pink
like the skin of a newly bathed child

grass so green
so lush
I have pretensions
of becoming a vegetarian

mother cow waddles slowly
down the fence line
while a baby white nosed
leaps and whirls
joyful

it is a sleepy time
as creation slowly shakes itself awake
a quiet time

and yet this is not just another day
underneath the compressed energy
of this morning
something hums
something stirs

there is energy here
something big going on
just below the surface
something more

ruach
Spirit
Life
Love

Something more
the creative energy of the sacred
saying
this day matters
