Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

The First You

Somewhere in you is the you whom you were made to be.
We need you to be you
We don’t need a second anybody
We need the first you
The problem is that the image of God is deeply scarred in each of us, and we lose trust in God’s version of our story….               Rob Bell

in the depths
in that deepest place
where the Presence of the Sacred is most real
and birthed in our lives
 is our real self

there the child of the Sacred
laughs and smiles

there in joy
it dances

so much lies between that place
and our hearts
our face
our hands

so much time
failure
hurt
disappointment
anger
fear

until that child is almost unreachable
that sacred self
that child of the holy

and yet
as we join with the sacred
as we seek and find union

the child is freed
the Sacred Presence grows
and irresistibly moves through
the scars
to emerge
to see through our eyes
and act through our hands
