Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

The Sacred is what makes us tremble

“The sacred is discovered in what moves and touches us, in what makes us tremble.”
― Sam Keen

where do we look for the Sacred?
where is it to be found?

in “holy” books
in “holy” places

in big black tomes
or rooms lit by the hues of stained glass windows?

do we find it in liturgies
written by those educated in consecrated ways?

perhaps
perhaps

but also in mountains high
amazing blue skies
in the smile of a love
and the cooing of a baby

in the exuberance of a child
and the clasp of an elderly hand

sometimes it is the common things
the little things
that make us
tremble
