Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Before I Act, Before I speak

“Let go of the battle. Breathe quietly and let it be. Let your body relax and your heart soften.”
― Jack Kornfield

These days I find it hard to breathe
so much takes my breath away

much like a punch in the stomach

hatred
anger
greed
bigotry

people dying
people wanting people to die

my own fears

it all assails me
a frontal assault
and I am left

gasping

Ah Sacred One

remind me to breathe
remind me to slow down my mind
my heart
my breath

help me to stop the world
as it spins
if only for a moment

and breathe
reflex
calm

let me touch the Sacred deep within
and find peace

before I act
before I react
before I speak
before I harm

left foot, right foot, left foot, breathe
