Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

What do we do with Pain?

“Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
― C.S. Lewis

so much pain
people of hate with guns
politicians who are thugs
the oppression of women
the poor neglected
domestic violence
divorce
alienation
people hiding in social media
internet trolls

loneliness
depression

people dying

so much pain

dis-ease has a way
of moving us

but we have a choice
of which way to move

we can move toward fear and hate
we can fight pain
in ways that give short term satisfaction
but ultimately create more pain

or we can deal with our pain
by moving toward love
by activating compassion
by doing what
seems foolish
like loving our enemies

kind of like Jesus
