Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

A Chance to Make Things Better

“Every human interaction offers you the chance to make things better or to make things worse.”
― Barbara Brown Taylor, An Altar in the World: A Geography of Faith

Into this day will come
old friends
and old enemies too

young faces
fresh and alive
and faces ravaged by time
or illness
or addiction

there will be moments of laughter
and perhaps some tears

there will comfortable times
of connecting and sharing
and moments
when I am alone in a crowd

into this day will come many
precious souls

and I will have choices

to wound or heal
exclude or include
to accept or reject,
hate or love

help me
O Sacred One
to choose
love
and life
