Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Becoming good earth

" Be grounded. Be crumbled so wildflowers come up
.... where you are. "

 there are the old truths
the one’s woven down deep into the fabric of creation

since the dawn of time,
when Sacred Song danced across the waters
and we came to be

certain things have been true

that there is something eternal about every human being
that we participate in the Love that created and sustains the Universe

we may not take them out and look at them very often
but they are there
lurking in our souls

some of them we like better than others
some of them are lived out more easily

and some?
some are mystery,

and some seem like utter foolishness.

and yet they are unavoidable
as obvious as the earth beneath our feet

this is a truth we all must know
true strength is to be found in giving one’s self away

we are so concerned about “giving our power away”
and not taking care of, and protecting ourselves
that we forget this

O, there is another truth;
we can only give what we have, what we have received

but when we hug ourselves to ourselves
we become like plastic water bottles
impenetrable, eternally separate
alienated the from earth around us.

and what good is that

may we rather be those enter into
the muddy mix of this world

yes, we will leave pieces of ourselves,
here and there

but the richness of who we are
as Sacred Children
Fueled by holy fire

will nourish
the places where we are
and the people whom we meet

and we will rise
