Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

If its not blowing, its not the wind.... if its not loving is not God

Think of the rain.  We are used to saying the rain is falling.  This is quite funny, because if it’s not raining, it’s not falling, and then it’s not the rain at all… When we say the wind is blowing, it’s equally funning, because if it’s not blowing it’s not the wind…

we often talk about Sacred love
and
Christian love

This is quite funny, because if it is not active love, it is not Sacred

Oh I know, some of you will tell me of divine wrath and anger
“Is anger that another is hurting themselves not love?”
“Is wrath over systems that crush people and minimize them not love?”
And there is some truth in that

Love is nothing if not complicated

But at the heart of the heart
At the root of the root
Living as a Child of the Sacred is about love

Sacred living is about seeing the other with the eyes of love
It is about seeking to understand their pain
And out pain
And how the two intermix in the dance of hate and anger
It is about move from understanding to compassion
And from compassion
To loving action

When faith becomes hate, and fear and anger
It is no longer sacred
It no longer has anything to do with God

The is the one thing we all should know
If it is not love, it is not God (or of God)
