Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

In the Gutter

“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.”
                                           Oscar Wilde, Lady Windermere's Fan
______________________________________________

We all find ourselves in the gutter
From time to time

Life happens
We make bad choices
Other people make bad choices

We confront
Greed, fear, hate and lust
Our own and others

And then suddenly there we are
In the gutter
Surrounded by garbage
Covered with effluvium of our lives

We can lie hopeless
Staring at the mud
Or we can turn over, and look at the stars

We can find the bright bits of hope and love
That linger in the darkness
And with them
Drawing us one

Pick ourselves up
And continue on
One step at a time
