Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

thin souls

Do you believe there is some place .... that
will make the soul less thirsty?
In that great absence ... you will find nothing.

Be strong then, .... and enter into your own body; ....
.... there you have a solid place .... for your feet.
Think about it carefully!

Don't go off somewhere else!

we are thirsty souls
we want to drink it all in, this life
become a little drunk with joy
dance and celebrate under a summer sun

sadly, it seems
we can never get enough
there is not enough money
not enough power
not enough wine

to make our souls less thirsty

it seems a lesson we do not learn
as we wander deeper into the desert
searching for more

it is an odd side
these thin souls
struggling through the great absence
carrying more power and wealth than they can ever possibly consume
yet still hungry, and looking for me

it is not out there
that spring of living water
only here, within
deep within our souls
where Sacred lives

our hearts are the solid place
love is the food and drink
that fills us

only when we find that place
can we stop wandering in the absence
can we stop grasping

can we stop hugging all to ourselves
and start to give
protecting the earth
loving our neighbor

filling the earth
finding
that there is enough
for all
