Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

“You never know what is enough unless you know what is more than enough.”
                              William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell

what does it mean to
have enough?
do enough?
be enough?

Sometimes we go through life
never know where enough ends

we can never have enough
capitalists love this
we can never do enough
businesses, churches, and organizations love this
we can never be enough

perhaps it is fair to say that counselors love this

but the reality is
we can all reach that place
where we have enough
do enough

and where we are enough

and I suspect we don’t need as much as we think we do
and that the balance between doing and being, is heavily weighted toward doing
and that we have no clue of our inherent worth

perhaps we need to STOP
and breath
and sit
and reflect

Perhaps we need to STOP
and play more
dance more
sing more

perhaps we will find e have enough

maybe even more than enough
