Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Power

“People who own the world outright for profit
will have to be stopped by influence, by power,
by us.”
                                             Wendell Berry

Let’s hear it for power
Which is neither bad, nor good

Because it is what we do with it that matters
We can use power for good
Or for evil

We can use it to benefit only ourselves,
Or we can use it to benefit others.

We can use it carefully and kindly
Or we can use it careless and brutally

Power can be as addictive for some as heroine or cocaine
And as mind altering as LSD

Right now we live in a world
And (in the US) in a country
Were power is all about profit

We have leaders who value only money
And power comes with that territory

So their use of power is evil
Selfish
Careless
And brutal

Sometimes as we look at what is going on
As we hear about star wars
And concentration camps for children
And graft and corruption

As we hear lie after lie after lie
And see racism promoted by the one who is supposed to ensure justice (our AG)

We feel helpless and hopeless

And we are
And we aren’t

We can vote
We can raise our voices in protest
We can pray
And ultimately we can try to trust that Love Wins

Love always Wins

That is a huge leap of faith
As big as believing in the Sacred (who is after all, Love)
But without such faith?

Where are we?
