Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Seriously, God

CALVIN:
This whole Santa Claus thing just doesn't make sense. Why all the secrecy? Why all the mystery?
If the guy exists why doesn't he ever show himself and prove it?
And if he doesn't exist what's the meaning of all this?
HOBBES:
I dunno. Isn't this a religious holiday?
CALVIN:
Yeah, but actually, I've got the same questions about God.

OK God
We’ve done the whole Christmas thing

Well, actually, we’ve just started the Christmas thing
But still
We’ve been busy

And some of the season has been about You
More than we might think

For each family gathering
Each child returned home
Each “I love you”
Each gathering around a table
Each exchange of gifts

Were really about you

And yet on this second day of Christmas
So much remains the same
The rich still plot and plan
The Liar still lies

Games are played with people’s lives
Children die
Guns are given in celebration of the birth of the prince of peace
Blacks are still targeted

Seriously God
Would it be that hard to make liars accountable for their lies?
To bring down the arrogant
To spread out the wealth
To make the evil pay

Would it be that hard to give everyone healthcare?
To protect little children?
To give mothers strength

Why don’t you just show yourself,
And prove that you are love?

Why all the mystery?
This day of days
I could use a little certainty
