Accepting the Gift

There are so many gifts offered

by God, by people around us

 

The gift of forgiveness

Gifts of affirmation and compassion

 

but all to often

our guilt

our shame

our pain

 

closes us down

blocks our receptivity

and we do not recieved

 

a gift cannot really be a gift

unless received

 

we be must open to gifts offered
especially the gift
that is God
and love
