God's antidote is love

When a preacher stoops to scare tactics

For some gods may lose their patience

Dominated by fear

In world where fear is used to manipulate

and is a power source for those

who would make us over in their own image

God’s antidote

is love

and its constant companions

compassion

forgiveness

generosity

restoration

how dare we feed fear

in the name of One

who IS love?

may I see with the eyes of love

may my words

be love

may my hands hold love

may those I meet know

because of your love

flowing through me, that fear is not the only option
