" We are not meant to stay wounded. We are supposed to
move through our tragedies
and challenges and to help each other ..... move through the
many painful episodes of our lives.
By remaining stuck in the power of our wounds, we block our
own transformation.
We overlook the greater gifts inherent in our wounds-the
strength to overcome them, and the lesson that we are meant to receive through
them.
Wounds are the means through which we enter the hearts ....
of other people.
They are meant to teach us to become compassionate and wise.

_____________________________________________________
there are so many walking wounded
people who have suffered great loss
people who endure pain
others whose pain comes
from a loss of power or influence
whose dreams for themselves
or the world
have been stolen
for some this is the place
where life ends
the wounds are fatal
for themselves, and others
not because they are inherently so
but because people hang on to them
as if a treasured talisman
their identity becomes their wounds
their battered egos
their ideology, which once dominant, is now slowly being
rejected
life is about what they have lost
wrongs endured
disappointments suffered
and so the wounds fester
oozing hate, and fear
resentment
and so they live
as victims or oppressors
ah
but to let the gentle touch of sacred love
heal the wounds
touch those places that are raw!
only with such a caress
will what is wounded in us
be healed
and transformed
into
hope
and generosity
and love
