I wish I could show you,

When you are lonely or in the darkness,

The Astonishing Light

Of your own Being!

there is no other way to put it

the shortest day of the year

(soon arriving)

Leaves us getting up in the dark

Leaving home in the dark

Getting home in the dark

And spending our evenings, completely in dark

we know darkness

and yet we are told

that a light shines in the darkness

and it cannot be extinguished

ever

ever

ever

to find it?

Look inside

Yes, there

In another place you often think of as dark

The deep place

Where Sacred lives

Look inside

For there glows Sacred Presence

Its astonishing, really!

What is there

Think of it as a baby

Nestled in a manger

Pure Light

Pure love
