Heaven and earth are only three feet apart,
but in thin places that distance is even shorter.
Old
Celtic Saying
______________________________________
Sometimes the air is thick
With the heaviness of earth
And so we trod
Heavy too
All the weight of hate and fear
Burdens us
We are bent beneath it all
But there are moments
When we walk into
A thin place
and the Sacred caresses our soul
We can sense the bright mountain behind the mountain,
Taste water cold and clear from an inexhaustible stream
Lose ourselves as the sky opens and we are drawn into a
great openness
That expands into eternity
Then the door between the world
And the next
is cracked open for a moment
and we can see
heaven
and we are light
and we are light
