Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

The Heart Cries

The heart is right to cry
Even when the smallest drop of light
Of love
Is taken away

Perhaps you may kick, moan, scream
In a dignified
Silence

But you are so right
To do so in any fashion

Until God returns
To

You
Hafiz ala Daniel Landinsky

As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love.
John 15:9  (Jesus)

Evil begins when love is lost
When love is lost
So is God

It is not that God, or love
Is ever totally banished
Even in the smallest soul
The one squeezed into obliteration
By hate, fear
And greed

There is a spark of the divine
A hint, at least
Of love
Somewhere

Misery comes when love fades
Our hearts hurt
for we are missing
That which connects us
To
The divine

We may not always understand
What is wrong
We may
Kick, moan, and scream

Directing our anger
Toward those we blame
For our pain

But we must start our search
By exploring the dark recesses of our own souls

And what we may find is
that in the mansion of our hearts
The rooms are empty
And fear echoes in stark chambers
Where love is missing

We must abide in love
We must let love once again
Fill our empty places

Even now, especially now
when fascism looms
And justice is denied
Even when hate and fear
Are the energy that impels our country
Into acts of violence

We must abide
In
Love

Sacred love is infinite
A profound depth
Into which we sink
And are embraced
Consumed.

Love changes everything
Because it changes us

When we have allowed love
To roam the recesses of our being
We become more sacred
Which is to say more human

Being loved, accepting love
We see ourselves differently, we see others differently
We understand that we are all
Sacred children
Precious souls

And then we cannot abuse ourselves
With alcohol or drugs or hate
And we cannot assault others
With masked brutes
We cannot deport them into danger
We cannot deny them justice
We cannot drop bombs on them and cheer

We cannot see them
As less

Some people suck love out of the universe
They are empty vortexes
Voiding  the world  of love

We cannot let them triumph
Our hearts should cry out
Even when the smallest drop of light
Of love
Is taken away

When love is denied,
It is our job to protest
And to live that protest

We must abide in love
and we are to love
as we have been
loved

end of story
beginning of story
for then the world will turn
only then
