It does not sit and watch
It does not remain silent
It does not placate
It rolls up its sleeves
And goes to work
Feeding the hungry
Clothing the naked
Housing the homeless
Welcoming the alien
Fighting for justice
And equity
And in those ways
Makes
Itself known
Peace should be
Intrusive
The elephant
In the living room
