Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Terror and Beauty Unsurpassed

“Each day is a journey. We come out of the night into the day. All creativity awakens at this primal threshold where light and darkness test and bless each other. You only discover balance in your life when you learn to trust the flow of this ancient rhythm.”
― John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom

the night enfolds
darkness
the place of secrets
and perhaps fear

but also the place a great calm
and quietude

morning comes
inexorable
sometimes unwanted
a time of awakening
as flowers unfold
and birds sing hymns of praise
into the lightening sky

there is that moment
when light and dark “test and bless’

when black gives way to brilliant red and orange
with what was obscured is revealed
and what was blurred comes into focus

this is the moment when the world is most alive
all is change and transformation
there is power and beauty unsurpassed

so too the moments in our lives
when light and dark test and bless
when joy and pain
evil and sacred
hope and despair meet and test

in these moments all is change and transformation
and there is terror and beauty
unsurpassed

the darkness always comes
but so too
morning
