Easter is death
Becoming life
God’s yes
Easter is surprise
Easter is flowers in bloom
Hearts becoming open
Easter is hope
Love
Joy
Forgiveness
Easter is the death of hate
and fear
and violence
as solutions to anything
Easter is the birth of love
And acceptance
And compassion
The great surprise is that resurrection
Is not just for the rich and powerful
Not just for the saints
Not just for the learned
But for everyone
Rich and poor
Saint and sinner
Everyone
There are no winners and losers on Easter
Just us
All of us
Being raised from the tombs we have dug for ourselves
Just us
Being loved to newness
Easter is unbelievable
Irrational
Crazy
And yet
