Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

embrace the newness

strange places
open the soul
think Dublin

city streets
drenched with rain
a pub on every corner

trains clacking outside my room
drunks shouting in the street
sirens

strangeness all around

I have two choice

to embrace the newness
and open myself to the experience

or to close down
and mutter under my breath
about
all the things that seem ‘strange’

the Sacred is always bringing new things to life
challenging
stirring
opening

so many changes in this world
so much new knowledge
dare we not go there

to God given newness?

Making Sacred Real

“They will become Godly when they will have God in their hearts.”

sacred presence

filling us full
with all good gifts

filling us with
power
love
and so much more

infusing us
completing us

making Sacred real

We are woven cloth

“There is nothing so secular that it cannot be sacred, and that is one of the deepest messages of the Incarnation.”
― Madeleine L'Engle
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

why do we always create a chasm
between heaven and earth
God and humanity
Sacred and secular?

why do we think that
spirit and flesh
do not go together?

it worked for Jesus
and he implied
that it works that way for us

we are woven cloth
spirit and flesh
fire and water

Sacred is so much a part of us
that we have within us
a little of God’s love
a little of God’s power

we are charged
with bringing heaven to earth
with making Sacred present

it’s a good thing

A little bit of God
goes a long way!
