Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

This is my day to practice

“Believing takes practice.”
― Madeleine L'Engle, A Wrinkle in Time: With Related Readings
______________________________________________________

spirituality
is nothing
like instance oatmeal

you cannot add a
little
of this
and a little of that

a touch of Bible
or Koran
or Tripitaka

a little prayer
a dash of meditation
perhaps some ritual

and presto
spiritual depth

spirituality is an odd thing
both a wonderful gift
which is ours for the receiving

and something we practice

we must live and breathe (especially breathe)
our spirituality

we must dive deeply into our souls
and practice the Presence
(thank you Brother Lawrence)

because spirituality is ultimately
a joining
a connection
perhaps even
a relationship

and all relationships
take time
and focus
and loving attention

so this day
is my day to practice

and so is tomorrow
