I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

One
You cannot perpetuate an illusion about another
Without perpetuating it about yourself.

--------------------------------------------------------------
overcome
overcome evil
overcome evil with good
good
how do we create good?
how do we create evil?
it becomes all about comparisons
and judgments
I am good
They are bad
I am righteous
they are evil
I am God’s beloved
they are god’s enemies
we create a world of contrasts and formulas
a world of black and white
it is a fragile world
hanging tenuously
and held in place
only by our ability
to hold on to our illusions
the illusion that we represent the God of love
as we fling spittle laden words of hate at another
the illusion that we are righteous
“Warriors of God”
when we give away guns to draw young men to church
and neglect the poor
and oppress those different than us
the illusion that whatever weaknesses or faults we have
are not important
compared to the flaws of “them”
the illusion that God is for us
and hates everyone we hate
it is false
this dichotomy
this belief that for us to be included in the circle of
God’s love
they must be outside it
we can only be blessed if some are damned
for us to be right, they must be wrong
the truth
is that we are all in this together
all of us
doing the best we can
moment by moment
the truth emerges only when
we let go of our illusions
love is birthed
only when we can drop the fundamental delusion
that we are separate
and remember that we are one
one
in sin
one in fear
one in failure
one in success
one in joy
one in the sacred
one
