We waste so much energy trying to cover up who we are when
beneath every attitude is the want to be loved, and beneath every anger is a
wound to be healed and beneath every sadness is the fear that there will not be
enough time.

What is it all about
Those words, that behavior,
That way of thinking?
People (not just kids)
Say the craziest things
They behave grandly, and poorly
they believe strange and not so wonderful things
and have an addiction to extremes
what is behind it all?
What drives people?
Understanding what is behind
And beneath
Is the beginning of wisdom
And also the beginning of compassion and kindness
What wounds are hidden by the anger?
What loneliness lurks deep in the soul?
What fears leave that person depleted and helpless?
Can we take the time to find out who that person in front of
us is?
Can we take the time to wander deep within ourselves
to where the hungry demons roam?
Can we find our best self,
And reveal it?
Can we find that precious soul in front of us
And accept it?
Is this not
what it means
to be a Sacred Child?
