I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Finding Freedom
No one on the outside can open the door to release you from
inner prison. The key is actually on the
inside

O’Donohue, Eternal Echoes, p. 108

Ah
the things we do to ourselves
the nasty, toxic things we pick up and carry with us
these are the things that enslave us
and keep us from
being free
divine children
so much guilt
over things done, or not done
so much shame
we become damaged
in the way we see the world
in the way we see ourselves
we become trapped by our own perceptions
and come to see the world through
our failure and fear
and it shrinks
we create an inner prison
and there we sit
with no way out
So we look for a rescuer,
for someone, a great love perhaps
or something, great wealth, power, success
to unlock the door to our misery
and free us
but nothing frees us
for freedom
true freedom
can only come from within
from
Spirit
from
Divine Presence
from a self restored,
re-born
from connecting with Presence
at the core of who we are
and thus seeing the world
through the eyes of God
and dancing
in the vast greatness
of divine abundance
and
grace
