Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

The Centrality of Love

The more you succeed in loving,
the more you'll be convinced
at the existence of God
and the immortality of your soul " ....

                              Fyodor Dostoevsky
_______________________________

if the Beloved is love
and the Sacred One insists it is so

then how can we ever hope to know the Sacred
if we immerse ourselves in hate
and anger?

“God is love,
and is sending you to hell”

Doesn’t quite work
(at least not for me)

talking grace
but living judgment
doesn’t work either

it all must start with love

when we are not
in love
we are not in contact with the Sacred

when we are not in contact with Sacred
it is hard to experience the Sacred as reality

when we do not experience Sacred as reality
it is difficult to believe that love overcomes
even death

when we are not sure we are loved
and are not sure that we will be reunited with the Sacred
moving from communion with the Beloved
to union with the Beloved

then, we live in fear, not peace,
we lived closed, protective lives, not open ones,
we judge, rather than accept,
and exclude, rather than include….

we must succeed in loving

for across the bridge of love
comes God
comes hope
comes everything
