Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

The Mountain Tells Me So

"From His divinity, He departed and advanced
towards it; And now, throughout the whole universe, .... He
moveth.

The limits of His boundless infinity cannot be
discovered; And in mankind is His abode, .... and His place
of sojourn. "

I have walked this road before
awed by the beauty of the mountains
and calmed by the pines and firs
stately sentinels

sometimes my soul, agitated and distressed
is calmed
and there are other mornings
when I am stirred out of my lethargy

for woven into the tapestry which unfolds before me
is the Sacred
unmistakable and powerful
all love
demanding my adoration

these dusty paths are my retreat
from that which drains my soul
the ugliness perpetrated on the universe
by human beings

from the destruction, the hate
the violence
the tears apart the Sacred fabric of creation
and rends body, mind and soul

sometimes it is difficult to believe that which
I deeply believe,
that the Sacred dwells in us all, binding us together
with threads
oh so thin
of love

and yet
as I stand
small
in the midst of all the grandeur
looking up at eternity I find
that I cannot fail to believe

that the immensity of Sacred love
which is never ending
will win

no matter how hard we try
to bury it with hateful words
and violent acts

the mountain tells me so
