Sacred Embrace

The hands that made the stars

Are holding your heart

The Sacred is everywhere

And that same power

All love

All creativity

There are times I feel hollow

empty

a void

and when the winds of life blow

cold and sharp

unyielding

I am chilled to the core

Hate and fear,

loathing and anger,

come my way

and for a moment

I feel defenseless

and yet deep within

an ember is fanned

and bursts into flame

illuminating

warming

and my soul warms itself

in the glow

of sacred presence

and once bent

I straighten

and walk into

the

wind

They do

They are self-centered

They lack insight

The twist the truth

Their proprieties are screwed up

They are greedy, judgmental, and hateful

If there ever was an argument against evolution

It is the people of the world

I am surrounded by

People just like me!

For yes

I too

Am self centered

Lack insight

Twist the truth

My priorities are very screwed up

And at times

I am greedy, judgmental and hateful

Here I am

Give me insight

Give me wisdom

Give me the power

To embrace your way

  And giving them a little insight too?
