I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

in the moment
“Everyone is after me to exercise, get in shape, play
football, rush about, even go swimming and flying.
Fair enough.
Everyone is after me to take it easy. They all make doctor's
appointments for me, eyeing me in that quizzical way.
What is it?
Everyone is after me to take a trip, to come in, to leave,
not to travel, to die and, alternatively, not to die
It doesn't matter.”
Pablo Neruda

We wander through life on the edge of death
Always another day closer
Sometimes creeping
Sometimes sliding rapidly toward the abyss
and while yet dying we are seeking not to die
and we talk of exercise and diets
balance, meditation
bucket lists
and more
life seekers
but live or die
it doesn’t matter for
for we die to live
and live to die
and
so each moment
is our last moment
to live
sacred child
ceding the moment
surrendering our self
in the fullness of love
received and given
until
there are no more moments
and no more gifts to be give
and no more left to be received
and then
we rest
home again
