Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

small acts of kindness

“there is a loneliness in this world so great
that you can see it in the slow movement of
the hands of a clock.

people so tired
mutilated
either by love or no love.

people just are not good to each other
one on one.

the rich are not good to the rich
the poor are not good to the poor.

we are afraid.

our educational system tells us
that we can all be
big-ass winners.

it hasn't told us
about the gutters
or the suicides.

or the terror of one person
aching in one place
alone

untouched
unspoken to

watering a plant.”
Charles Bukowski, Love Is a Dog from Hell
____________________________________________________

how many people walk through each day
with pain
deep down, soul deep

how many people have sought love
and not found it
because they were never taught
how to love and be loved

how many have had great dreams
only to have them disintegrate in
the harsh light of reality

how many people
struggle with loneliness
and failure
bitterness
resentment
event hate

there are so many walking wounded, Lord
and their anguish fills the air

it spills out on Facebook
and on twitter
an in Trump rallies

it is fed and nurtured by
all those who wrapped up in power and greed
neglect, and minimize, and worse

Lord, we are drowning in a sea
of contempt, helplessness
and apathy

Help us Lord, to leave no person untouched by love
Help us to leave no person unheard
Unacknowledged

There are medicines for this alienation
And loneliness

Generosity
Forgiveness

A listening ear
A feeling heart

Compassion and empathy

Small acts of kindness

And Sacred fueled love
Above all love

Is it that hard, Lord to love?
After all
We love because you first loved us (I John 4)
