Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

In a mood

“And I despise your books, I despise wisdom and the blessings of this world. It is all worthless, fleeting, illusory, and deceptive, like a mirage. You may be proud, wise, and fine, but death will wipe you off the face of the earth as though you were no more than mice burrowing under the floor, and your posterity, your history, your immortal geniuses will burn or freeze together with the earthly globe.”
― Anton Chekhov

this day
this bleak morning
this world
where the evil prosper
and the righteous are ridiculed

where the rich get rich
and step on the poor

squish, squish

all with the blessings of “god”
at least according to much of the Christian church

this life were no matter how hard you work
it feels like you make
no difference

today it will take all I have
to get up
to get out of bed
to step outside the house
to go to work

for the very fabric of my being screams

why bother?
