I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Where O Where Is Love?
You can never love another person unless you are equally
involved in the beautiful but difficult spiritual work of learning to love
yourself. There is within each of us, at
the soul level, an enriching fountain of love.
In other words, you do not have to go outside yourself to know what love
is. This is not selfishness, and it is
not narcissism, they are negative obsessions with the need to be loved. Rather this is the wellspring of love within
the heart.

where, O where is love?
Is it out there, somewhere?
Is there a soul mate, waiting to complete us?
Or is love to be found
first, within
is it to be found
first
at the center of who we are?
love is the language of the soul
it is the antidote to nothingness
there is a wellspring of love within us
we need to awaken it
we need to create space in our souls
so that the nourishing stream
of Sacred Love
Sacred Presence
might flow
through the arid earth
of our
lives
