Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Magic People

"People do not regard you with respect ...
because you are proud and vain,
but rather they look up to you when you are  polite and hospitable. "
                                                          Shaykh 'Abd al- Qadir al- Jilani

How I envy those wise old souls
Who have walked through life
Doing what they loved
And doing it

Those wise elders who quietly
Walk the streets of small towns
Surrounded by people
They have known their whole life

People they have scolded, at times
But also
Helped, encouraged, guided

They are always present
And sometimes speak
Always lifting up those around them
Rarely putting themselves forward

Without need of recognition
They are recognized
And cherished

Those magic people
Who make others more,
And leave
A legacy
