Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Advent One - Happy New Year!

May I be a guard for those who need protection; a guide for those on the path; a boat, a raft, a bridge for those to cross the flood; may I be a lamp in the darkness; a resting place for the weary, and a healing medicine for all who are sick.  For as long as Earthy and sky endure, may I assist until all living beings are awakened.     The Dalai Lama’s as quoted by Jack Kornfield in “A Lamp in the Darkness”

The darkness is heavy
it hangs like fear
draping itself across the world
concealing
looming

in the deep blackness
fear and uncertainty rule
making us hesitant
groping for our way

but then like a light in the darkness
one comes
like a single candle glowing

dispelling the dense nothing
and illuminating,
faintly at times
but inexorably,
the path which lies before

awakening the dawn of hope
awakening the hearts of those
living in darkness

setting them aflame
with sacred love

and so the light
begins
to
grow

a beautiful movement
of love
