Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Lent -27 Live Fully

One life on this earth is all that we get,
whether it is enough or not enough,
and the obvious conclusion would seem to be
that at the very least we are fools
if we do not live it as fully and bravely and beautifully as we can.

Frederick Buechner - from The Hungering Dark

slightly the light
chases the darkness

trees
vague stanchions
reach
into the endless gray

the great owl swoops
the rests
eyes peering down on this
interloper
who dares walk his misted domain

mist swirls
and the smell of needles
wet rises
the smell of life

the owl spreads great wings
and glides silently into
the dark
swooping then rising
so too the sun
so too my heart
