I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

The whole world is God's suffering
"The whole world is God's suffering."
Jung saw every act of human suffering as a participation
in what Christians would call the eternal crucifixion of the One Christ. There
is only one suffering, as it were, and we are all participants in it.
Richard
Rohr, Daily Meditations, 10/15/15
there is a world full of suffering
pain and despair
are no respecter of age, race, or religion
hurricanes, tornadoes
floods and fires
destroy and ravage
cruel people
driven by ideology, fear and hate
abuse, torture, minimize oppress
and sometimes kill
they hurl words of hate
legislate inequity
and pick up guns
and so little children
suffer and die
women are marginalized
minorities oppressed
the rich prosper
and the poor suffer
and the Sacred grieves
for all the children
young and old
for their suffering is
God’s suffering
and ours
yes
ours
too
