Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

What have we done with God?

“I will have nothing to do with a God who cares only occasionally. I need a God who is with us always, everywhere, in the deepest depths as well as the highest heights. It is when things go wrong, when good things do not happen, when our prayers seem to have been lost, that God is most present. We do not need the sheltering wings when things go smoothly. We are closest to God in the darkness, stumbling along blindly.”
― Madeleine L'Engle

God is love

where did we lose sight of this?
why did we lose sight of this?

perhaps we think
a God who is angry
and punishes

is more powerful

perhaps we think a God who
picks and chooses who to love
and who is helped

and who (of course)
is on our side (not theirs)

Is preferable to a God who welcomes
all
loves and forgives
all

perhaps we
think we can own God
manipulate God
and use God

to support our wants
our desires
our hates

we would be wrong
