Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Compassion, the Divine Corrective

“Compassion is the basis of morality.”
― Arthur Schopenhauer
_______________________________

it does not matter what code you claim to follow
whether you are conservative or liberal

whether you are a lover of rules
or a rebel

whether you are religious
or are allergic to religion

if you are not compassionate
your belief system
your righteousness
your faith

will be turned into something
that is ugly
cold
and cruel

and even in the name of Christ
you will neglect the poor
judge the struggling
and turn away
the stranger

compassion
is the divine
corrective
