I am a wanderer. I would say that I am a seeker, but sometimes I have no idea what I might be seeking, so I will stick with wanderer. This blog is more a public journal than anything. I don't claim to have life figured out. I simply stumble from mystery to mystery, and share my reflections along the way. Sometimes I feel burdened, and trudge. Sometimes? Well sometimes grace breaks through, and its time to dance.

Be careful with God, or at least your version of God
All concepts of God
are like a jar we break
because only the infinite can
contain our perfect
love
St
Teresa of Avila
_______________________________
He seemed so sure
“God says” he muttered
“God demands” he roared
as with face twisted with anger
ah
is that hate?
he spewed his words of condemnation
and exclusion
as if the Sacred could be
bound so tightly
contained in such a very small
small
package
his idea of God seemed so big
to this angry man
Pontificating
but then even a very small piece of God
Would seem big, wouldn’t it?
all concepts of God,
yes!
even ours,
are bound to be too small
we should be careful
when trying to contain
perfect
love
