Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Presence is only the beginning

The attainment of the realization of the Divine Presence as world
is just the beginning of spiritual life.

____________________________

the smoke hangs heavy in the air

heat
fire
scorched hills

unrelenting dryness

somewhere
beyond
gray and brown
the mountain still soars

somewhere
the sun rises

but on this morning
on this day
even the sun struggles
to rise

ah Sacred one
there are times
when I seek to be present to your presence
in the scorched wilderness

some days
it seems as if the sun will never rise

and then

suddenly
you are there

I am present to the presence
sometimes clear
sometimes muted

but always the sun rises
and that is only the beginning
that is where the real story
begins
