Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

Birthing God

What lies behind us
and what lies before us
are tiny matters
compared to
what lies within us
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every moment
we have a choice

every moment we make a choice
about what will drive us
what will control us

will we be defined by the past,
with the steps already taken?

or will we be controlled by the futures we hopefully
or fearfully envisioned?

there is a middle way

to be
by that which is at
the center of our souls

by the seed of the sacred
which simply lurks within us

waiting for us to nourish it
and let it grow,
this little seed of the Spirit
waiting to be born

like Mary
we are pregnant with the sacred
and each day
our task is to allow this seed to flourish
and to bring it to birth

we are the carriers
