there is good news
God is love
And more!
God loves us, unconditionally
God fills us with love
God’s love flows through us to others
God helps us live out our potential
And helps us raises others up
so we can all live our birthright,
as divine children
Ah, but,
we do our best to make the good news bad news
we get all wrapped up in law
we become judgmental
and spiritually arrogant
we think “our way” is the only way
we re-create God in our image
we use hate and fear instead of love
as the weapons for change
but the good news is
better than we can imagine
and God?
well God is God
and try as we might
we cannot limit God
or contain God
no matter how much we may get in the way
God’s love can, and does
get through
to touch
to heal
to transform
that is the good news
and we can live out of it
and in it
and toward it
Thy Kingdom Come!
