Welcome

Primitive religion is not believed, it is danced!

Arthur Darby Nock

Earth's crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God;
And only he who sees takes off his shoes;
The rest sit round it and pluck blackberries.

What we need is love

“Hope is not about proving anything. It's about choosing to believe this one thing, that love is bigger than any grim, bleak shit anyone can throw at us.”
                                                           Anne Lamott, Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith

it has been said
all we need is love

of course we laugh
and point out that air, and water, and food are nice

and that we cannot live
really, without clothes and housing

and yet

we can have it all
and feel the crying need
for more, more
as emptiness claws at our souls

we can have it all
and yet feel the need to hide
behind hate and guns
because fear rampages
and erodes our hearts

love may not be all we need
but it is the unique ingredient we
all need

it is love that keeps our minds free
our hearts open
our souls spacious

love (Sacred Personified?)
is
what we need
