disappears
it matters not what it is
whether it be wealth,
which hidden in the bank accounts of the very rich
destroys not only the souls of those
who cling to it
but those who in want
go hungry
and homeless
or love
which cannot live
unless it is shared
it is a sad irony

we suffocate
under the security blanket
of abundance and affluence
denying
both ourselves and others
O Sacred One
You designed us for giving
Calm our fears

with real food, real richness
